Welcome to Summer 2025 (not meteorological summer – that started on June 1st.)
The weather cooperated (albeit chilly) to allow close to 50 club members to celebrate the Summer Solstice last evening (at 7:42 to be exact).
The evening started with a fantastic barbecue meal followed by a final game of bowls before Spring ended and then 2 more games to acknowledge the beginning of Summer. The winners of the event were Marie M, Moira Lowdon and Bawan S.
Some members did a great job of dressing up for the pajama theme with Steve B, Mary S and Judith R. winning the prizes. (Shirley H was a judge).
We owe an enormous thank you to Nick and Jean for organizing the event, and all the volunteers who stepped up to help out. This might just possibly become a tradition for the club.
