This past weekend saw the men’s singles tournament take place at Victoria Bowls and Croquet Club in Beacon Hill Park.
The Peace Cup has been around since 1919 and is awarded to the winner of the A division in this tournament.

The Findlay Trophy is awarded to the winner of the B division. And the Coast Capital Shield is awarded to the winner of the C division.
24 bowlers from the BSI region participated in the tournament and I’m excited to report that I, representing Lake Hill, won all five of my games and was awarded the Peace Cup! Chris Dodd bowled well and finished as runner-up in the B division.

Competition was fierce but friendly, and the tournament was well managed by the volunteers at VBCC. Special thanks to Shona Dallison and Marnie Dangerfield for volunteering as markers (along with many other volunteers from other clubs)… Singles tournament need markers to run efficiently.
With this win, plus the teams at the Adshead and Heart tournaments it has been quite the week for Lake Hill!!
Congratulations to all!
Good bowling 😃
