Men’s BC Provincial Fours – June 19 – 21, 2026

June 25, 2026

The Men’s BC Provincial Fours were played at Gordon Head Lawn Bowling Club this past weekend. It was a beautiful weekend for lawn bowling. Fourteen men’s teams with eight teams from Bowls South Island and six teams from the Vancouver & District Bowls Association.

The calibre of the competition was high. The games were exciting with the scores going back-and-forth.

In the end one of our Lake Hill Members, Steve Foster is on a team that won the gold medal and is going to represent BC in the 2026 Nationals at West Vancouver Lawn Bowling Club from August 17th to the 20th.

Other notable Lake Hill members that participated at the Provincials were:

4th Place – Mike Lee (with Barry Ming, Jay Huang, and Jerome Foenander)

Top 8 – Nick May and Bawan Saravanabawan (with Dan Bitterlich and Dennis Verge)

If I forgot someone, ooops, my apologies. It’s a game of inches.

Gold Medalist: Brent Jansen, Davie Mathie, George Cubiss and Steve Foster.

Silver Medalist: Kevin Schubert, Harry Harrison, Keith Terlson and Don Terlson.

Bronze Medallist: Hirendra Bhartu, Nathaniel Hui, Clayton Hui, and George Sit.

The BC Provincials have brought us together, creating new friendships while making old ones stronger.
