Lavender Ladies Tournament -June 12/26

June 22, 2026

The sun shone – and then some – on the Lavender Ladies as Lakehill
began the year’s busiest week.

A total of thirty-five women bowlers made up ten triples teams (the
mathematically astute reader will deduce that some roles were shared)
who played three games in sweltering heat.

Finally the trophy went to the team of Gillian Roe, Marie Makuch and
Sandra McConnell who won all three games,

In second place, Jill Foster, NaDine McDowell and Gillian Hobbs, who
also won all three.

In third place was a team of four – obviously not all playing at once
– Bev Scheurle, Kat Kajewski and Pat Montgomery, and Kay Alexander.

As usual for Lakehill, there were volunteers too numerous to mention
(and certainly too many to remember) setting up the rinks, running the
kitchen and generally making things go with a swing.
