Hello everyone. Well, the provincial 4s tournament – ladies division, hosted at Lake Hill over the weekend, was, it seems, a great success. I certainly learned a lot and felt totally supported by all of our wonderful volunteers. Many thanks go to many people: Shaen and John for amazing greens, Deryk for his super computer skills, Gill on registration and money, Mona for her amazing flowers, everyone who showed up to prepare the greens, Chris D for his umpiring, and the stars of the show, the kitchen crew. If I try to name everyone who prepped the place and who did such an amazing job in the kitchen, I will miss someone out and do not wish to do that. We all know who you are! Thank you a million times over!
For those of you weren’t there, the top 4 team skips were:
1. Josephine Lee, Zoe Chan, Sarina Mak, Gigi Chan
2. SharonBaldwin, Lynn Chwartacki, Kathy Harms, Gina Guszowaty
3. Annie Mathie, Cherlynn McArthur, Jill Foster, Wendy Leamen
4. Petra VanderLey, Brenda Janke, Debra Whitman, and Anita Wah
Congratulations to all of the teams!
Our Lake Hill team of Marnie Dangerfield, Shona Dallison, Kathryn Bridge and Karen Heagle played amazingly well against stiff competition and we know we’ll see this team again in the provincials. Well done!
It was an honour to partner with Gordon Head and we should certainly consider doing it again.
