On July 18th we had a lovely afternoon/evening of bowling for members, families, and friends. Attendance was 46 with 7-8 youth in attendance, 2 of whom were under 10 years of age.
It was very casual with people just taking a spot on the greens whenever they arrived. Some rinks were fun bowling with a hoola hoop or paper plate to bowl to. There were 2 rinks of short jack bowling plus rinks of regular bowling. People could change rinks as desired. With the variety of club bowls in many colors plus the kid’s size bowls the green was a sea of color with the sun shining on us all.
Dinner was pizza, tossed salad and Caesar salad with ice cream bars for dessert. Juice, iced tea, lemonade and sparking juice provided liquid refreshment.
Everyone was relaxed and it appeared they were quite happy with the event.
Winners of the Dairy Queen door prizes were – London Johnson (youth) and Sharon Beach.
Big thanks to all who came out to the event . The organizers love to see so many happy faces.
