On Saturday July 19th LHLBC held our Family and Friends fun bowl event. Fifty two adults and five young children took to the greens for some socializing and slightly challenging bowling. Everything was quite casual as each person could go at their own speed and start/stop when they liked.
Lots of smiles and laughter was evident. It was especially nice to see that most of the attendee members were newer members to the club along with their friends/family.
After the bowling a dinner of pizza, Caesar salad and tossed salad took place ending off with ice cream bars for dessert.
Kim Cummins of Shelbourne Community Kitchen attended the dinner and spoke briefly and eloquently about the SCK and it’s extensive work in the community. The SCK is our charity of choice for our President’s Shield tournament this year.
Many thanks go out to the members who helped out for this event- Kathleen and Sandy B, Wilnae, Gina, Kay, Stephen and Marie M (Stephen even left his dinner to come set up tables Friday night !!), Bawan, Pat Richard, plus those who pitched in where needed and helped to put things away.
We couldn’t have had a successful event without all of those who took part.
