The Dogwood Mixed Scotch Pairs BSI tournament was held from July 6th to 8th and was blessed with fine weather! There were 32 pairs registered and we had the chance to watch excellent bowling from everyone.
Many thanks to all of the Lake Hill volunteers who contributed to the success of the tournament – from the kitchen to the preparation of the greens to the computer wizardry and everything in between, folks were always there to do whatever needed to be done. As well, many thanks to our 3 umpires: Ann O’Genski, Wendy Leaman, and Annie Mathie.
At the end of the day the winners were:
First Place: Karen Evans and Brent Jensen
Second Place: Jill Foster and Steve Foster
Third Place: Anita Wah and Bawan Saravanabawan
Fourth Place: Trudy Cutfield and Peter Smith
Of note, it seems the first Dogwood tournament was held back in 1978 so in 2 years it will be the 50th anniversary of this particular tournament. Perhaps a time to celebrate??
