The BSI Peace Findlay Men’s Singles tournament was played at Victoria Lawn Bowling & Croquet Club on May 24 & 25. Lake Hill members Randy Small, Mike Lee, Nick May, Kevin Neary, and Mark Planiden took to the mats where at least three games were guaranteed. The weather cooperated and good bowling was abound.

At the finals on Sunday afternoon, Mark Planiden was the only remaining Lake Hill representative, facing Jack Robertson from JDF in the C tier. The two bowled fiercely to see who could reach 18 points first. After 21 ends, Mark succumbed to Jack’s relentless quest for best with a final score of 18 – 16. Mark took the C tier runner-up prize and got his entry fee back!
Thank you to all who were able to attend as spectators and to the Victoria club for hosting a great tournament on a busy bowls weekend.
For those interested, the A tier final game was broadcast and recorded by Island Bowls Live and can be viewed on YouTube
