Lake Hill start the BSI season with continued success.
Lake Hill was well represented at the 2026 Barry Skinner Mixed Pairs Tournament held at Burnside Lawn Bowling Club. We had four teams and many members pairing up with other BSI club members.
In the final game of the Barry Skinner evening draw, Team Mark Planiden and Anita Wah faced off against Team Mike Lee and Bev Scheurle. Both teams entered the evening with one win and one loss. (By the way, Team Mike and Bev’s first game went to an extra end, as no ties were allowed).
The match went back and forth. After End 14, the score was tied 14-14, with Team Mark and Anita taking that end. Over the final four ends, Anita was relentlessly on the Jack, but Bev refused to make it easy and consistently got her bowls into the count.
The game ended with Team Mark and Anita coming out on top.
