BC DAY was a lovely day to celebrate our province. The weather was not too hot and we had a great turnout in blue and white to bowl plus a few Games players. In total there were 56 people in attendance.
Halfway through the game players came in and enjoyed Blueberry scones ,tea, and coffee (once we kicked the machine into gear). Apologies to those who had to wait for coffee but there had been a bit of a scare regarding the possible loss of a valuable item and then the “conversation ” with the coffee maker. Just like to keep things lively !
Big thanks go out to :
- Mary Sullivan -setting up and decorating the tables including the lovely dahlias from her daughter Kelly’s garden.
- Margo (my partner in crime for the day)- making scones and doing her usual stellar kitchen duties
- Donna Jeanotte- making scones
- Wilnae & Bill -always there to help set up
- Betty Helwig – set up
- Marnie- after bowls clean up in kitchen
- Judy C- scones, GF coffeecake, and organizing
- Alice S- tea making and kitchen ( she came to play cards and got roped in !)
- All of you who made the day special and helped set up greens ,put away things, etc.
Hope you had fun !
Judy
