On the weekend of July 25th and 26th the Lake Hill Club hosted the Anne Webster Women’s Triples Tournament. It was an opportunity for the novices to get some tournament experience as each team had to include 1 novice player. Lake Hill had 3 teams entered. In spite of unsettled weather the tournament was a success.
The winners were :
1st place – Kim Engelstad, Dianne Murray and Janice Scarf
2nd place: Annie Mathie, Cherlynn McArtur and Barb Prentice
3rd place: Karen Heagle, Marilyn McKitrick and Elaine Bohlender
4th place: Dorothy Verge, Karen Evans and Anne Arden
As usual there were many Lake Hill members that made the tournament happen – Shaen, Joe, Chris and Kenn prepared the green and set up the rinks, Jenny W-W, Kate K., Heather D, Lindsay McL, Gill H., and Lesley B assisted with the registration and computer stuff, and Bev S, Leslie S, Kay A, Mike L, Gill L, Nadine McD, Devorah G, and Phil W took care of the kitchen.
