The Adshead 80+ Tournament was held at CP lawn bowling club on Thursday 18th May. It was a gorgeous day and it’s always fun to see 142 bowlers over 80, all out on the green at once, but, goodness is it noisy down there! We had traffic noise, ambulances, construction and a power washer. Lake Hill is a corner of peace and quiet in comparison.
Unfortunately, this year one team didn’t show up, which was a last minute nightmare for the organizers. They scrambled together a team of younger CP players and came up with a way of scoring that was fair to the teams who played them, so that the tournament could go on as planned. They were awesome.
Lake Hill had two teams: Margot Gillard, John Di Tomasso and Linda Simpson, who played well and got 2 wins and one loss, and Randy Small, Sirish Patel and Jenny Waelti-Walters who won all 3 of their games and were delighted to win the tournament. Kay Alexander was filling in with another team and had a good time too.

Anne M and Mark. We loved having you there, and if there was someone else I missed, please forgive me. It was a great day and a great tournament yet again.
