On Tuesday, August 22, 2023, something special happened at the Lake Hill Bowling Club. It was a day that brought together friends from far and wide, as we hosted a ladies exchange morning with our dear friends from Sidney. The sun was shining, the alleys were ready, and the excitement filled the air.
A Day Filled with Friendly Competitions
The event kicked off with four thrilling games of lawn bowling, each consisting of four ends. The rules were simple yet exciting – everyone had to play each position at least once, ensuring a fair and inclusive experience for all. As the games progressed, laughter and friendly banter echoed across the well-manicured greens.
Welcoming New and Familiar Faces
One of the highlights of the exchange morning was the opportunity to connect with both old friends and new acquaintances. We were thrilled to see familiar faces among us, but equally delighted to meet and bowl alongside our friends from Sidney. This exchange not only fostered a sense of camaraderie within our club but also allowed us to forge new bonds with fellow lawn bowling enthusiasts.
Refreshments and Goodies Galore
Between the second and third games, we took a break to indulge in some delightful treats and refreshing tea. Thanks to the dedicated kitchen volunteers, Noreen Hall and Ann Merriman, we were spoilt with an array of delectable goodies. From scrumptious scones to mouthwatering pastries, they truly outdid themselves. Their efforts added a delicious touch to an already fantastic morning.

As the day drew to a close, gratitude filled our hearts for the success of the ladies exchange morning. The weather graced us with its pleasant warmth, the games were filled with friendly competition, and the camaraderie was ever-present.
