Well, it was a cool and blustery day on June 15th but 8 teams of bowlers turned out for the Lavender Ladies Tournament. It was a fun day, despite the weather, and the lavender theme carried into the table decorations, clothes and door prizes!
The winning team included Donna Jeannotte (Skip), Gillian Roe and Jennifer Gunn (Seconds) and Laima vanTurnout (Lead). Second place went to Judy Currie (Skip), Sandi Hanna (Second), and Alana Pearce (Lead) and third place went to Shirley Hunt (Skip), Jenny Waelti-Walters (Second) and Bev Scheurle (Lead). Congratulations all!!
Special thanks to all who helped to make the day run smoothly: Deryk for the computer assistance, Margot and Don in the kitchen, Steve and Bill for setting up, Shaen for sweeping the greens, Chris and Joe for marking the lines, Wilnae and Bill for getting the tables and chairs out, Betty S for the tablecloths and decorations etc, and Gill H for all of her time and effort in organizing the tournament.
A good time was had by all!
